We may receive information from service providers that assist us with operating the Site and providing our services. For example, Stripe may provide payment confirmation and transaction information, WooCommerce may provide account and order information, MailerLite may provide email-subscription and campaign-interaction information, and Google may provide aggregated Site usage and search-performance information.

2.4 Deidentified and Aggregated Information

(f) Analyze and Improve the Site. To understand how visitors and subscribers use the Site, evaluate Site traffic and performance, improve content and functionality, develop new features, and maintain the quality of VialReport’s services.

(g) Maintain Security and Prevent Misuse. To protect the Site, subscriber accounts, VialReport’s content, and its systems; detect or prevent fraud, unauthorized access, scraping, misuse, or other prohibited activity; and investigate potential violations of applicable agreements or policies.

(j) Other Disclosed Purposes. To use personal information for another purpose disclosed at the time of collection or with the individual’s authorization.

4. How We Disclose Personal Information

VialReport may disclose personal information in the following circumstances:

(a) Service Providers. We may disclose personal information to service providers that perform services on our behalf, including website hosting, account administration, payment processing, ecommerce support, email delivery, analytics, security, customer support, and related operational services. These providers may access personal information only as reasonably necessary to perform services for VialReport and are subject to their own contractual and legal obligations.

(b) Payment Processing. Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. Information submitted during checkout may be transmitted directly to Stripe and handled in accordance with Stripe’s privacy practices. VialReport may receive limited transaction information, such as payment confirmation, subscription status, card type, or the last four digits of a payment card, but does not store complete payment-card numbers.

(c) Legal and Regulatory Requirements. We may disclose personal information when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by applicable law, regulation, subpoena, court order, governmental request, or other legal process.

(d) Protection of Rights and Security. We may disclose personal information when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, safety, or security of VialReport, its users, its service providers, or others; prevent fraud or misuse; investigate prohibited activity; or enforce the Website Terms of Use, Subscriber Agreement, or other applicable agreements.

(e) Business Transactions. We may disclose or transfer personal information in connection with an actual or proposed merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, change of control, bankruptcy, or similar business transaction. Any recipient of personal information in such a transaction will remain subject to applicable legal obligations regarding that information.

(f) With Your Direction or Authorization. We may disclose personal information when you direct us to do so, authorize the disclosure, or request a service that reasonably requires disclosure to another party.

(g) Aggregated or Deidentified Information. We may disclose aggregated or deidentified information that cannot reasonably be linked to a particular individual.

VialReport does not sell, rent, or license personal information. We also do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own independent marketing purposes or for targeted advertising based on the particular compounds, reports, or pages viewed by a visitor.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

VialReport and its service providers may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, maintain subscriber sessions, support account and checkout functions, remember preferences, protect the Site, and understand how visitors use the Site.

5.1 Types of Cookies and Technologies Used

The Site may use:

(a) Essential and Functional Cookies. These cookies support functions such as account access, subscriber authentication, security, subscription management, checkout, and user preferences. Disabling these cookies may prevent certain portions of the Site from functioning properly.

(b) Analytics Cookies. We use Google Analytics to collect general information regarding Site traffic, visitor interactions, device and browser characteristics, and Site performance. We use this information to understand and improve the Site. We do not use Google Analytics to create remarketing lists or advertising audiences based on the particular compounds, reports, or pages viewed by visitors.

(c) Similar Technologies. We and our service providers may use pixels, tags, local storage, and similar technologies for purposes consistent with those described in this Privacy Policy.

5.2 Your Choices

Most browsers allow you to delete or block cookies or notify you when cookies are being placed. Your browser settings may affect whether these options apply to all cookies or only certain categories of cookies. Blocking essential or functional cookies may interfere with account access, checkout, subscriptions, alerts, or other Site features. You may also use Google’s available browser tools or account settings to limit the collection of information through Google Analytics.

5.3 Browser Privacy Signals

Some browsers provide “Do Not Track” signals. Because there is no uniform standard for responding to those signals, the Site does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” signals. Some browsers also support Global Privacy Control or similar opt-out signals. VialReport does not sell personal information or use Site activity for targeted advertising based on the particular compounds, reports, or pages viewed. Accordingly, there is no sale or targeted-advertising activity for a browser-based opt-out signal to disable under VialReport’s current practices.

5.4 Third-Party Analytics

Google may collect information through Google Analytics when you use the Site, including cookie or device identifiers and information about your interaction with the Site. Google handles that information in accordance with its own terms and privacy practices. VialReport does not permit third parties to use the Site to create targeted advertising profiles based on the particular compounds, reports, or pages viewed by visitors.

6. Data Retention and Security

6.1 Data Retention

VialReport retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Site and services, administer subscriber accounts and subscriptions, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce applicable agreements. The applicable retention period may depend on the nature of the information and the reason it was collected. For example, we may retain:

(a) Account and subscription information while an account remains active and for a reasonable period after closure;

(b) Transaction and payment records as required for accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, and legal purposes;

(c) Communications and support records for as long as reasonably necessary to address the matter and maintain appropriate business records;

(d) Marketing preferences and unsubscribe records as necessary to honor communication choices; and

(e) Technical, security, and usage information for a reasonable period to maintain the Site, investigate misuse, and protect VialReport’s systems and content.

Personal information may remain in routine backups for a limited period after it is deleted from active systems. When personal information is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete, anonymize, or aggregate it, subject to applicable legal requirements.

6.2 Information Security

VialReport uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These safeguards may include access controls, authentication measures, secure service providers, monitoring, and other protections appropriate to the nature of the information and VialReport’s operations. No method of transmitting information over the Internet or storing information electronically is completely secure. Accordingly, VialReport cannot guarantee the absolute security of personal information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for promptly notifying VialReport at support@vialreport.com if you believe your account has been accessed or used without authorization.

7. Your Privacy Choices and Requests

7.1 Account Information

You may review or update certain account information through your subscriber account settings, if available. You may also contact VialReport at support@vialreport.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with your account. VialReport may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We may retain certain information when reasonably necessary to complete transactions, maintain required business records, protect against fraud or misuse, resolve disputes, enforce applicable agreements, or comply with legal obligations.

7.2 Closing Your Account

You may close your subscriber account through your account settings, if that option is available. If you are unable to close your account through your account settings, you may request account closure by contacting support@vialreport.com. Closing an account does not necessarily result in the immediate deletion of all information associated with the account. Certain information may be retained as described in Section 6. Account closure and subscription cancellation are separate actions. You remain responsible for cancelling any active subscription in accordance with the Subscriber Agreement and the applicable account or billing procedures.

7.3 Marketing Communications

You may unsubscribe from promotional emails by selecting the unsubscribe link included in those communications or by contacting support@vialreport.com. Even after you unsubscribe from promotional communications, VialReport may continue to send transactional or administrative messages relating to your account, subscription, payments, security, alerts you have requested, or material changes to the Site or applicable agreements.

7.4 Compound Alerts and Preferences

Subscribers may be able to manage tracked compounds, alerts, and related communication preferences through their account settings. You may also contact VialReport to request assistance changing these preferences.

7.5 Cookie and Browser Choices

You may manage cookies and similar technologies through your browser settings and the options described in Section 5. Disabling certain cookies may affect the availability or operation of Site features.

7.6 Rights Under Applicable Law

Depending on where you reside, applicable law may provide additional rights regarding personal information. VialReport will respond to properly submitted and verified requests as required by applicable law. VialReport will not discriminate against an individual for exercising a privacy right provided by applicable law.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Site and VialReport’s services are intended for adults and are not directed to children. Subscriber accounts may be created only by individuals who are at least 18 years old. VialReport does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that personal information has been collected from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information. A parent or legal guardian who believes that a child has provided personal information to VialReport may contact us at support@vialreport.com.

9. Third-Party Websites and Services

The Site may contain links to research materials, regulatory resources, laboratory information, publications, or other websites and services operated by third parties. VialReport does not control and is not responsible for the privacy, security, content, or data-handling practices of independently operated third-party websites or services. This Privacy Policy applies only to personal information collected by or on behalf of VialReport through the Site. When you access a third-party website or service, any information you provide or that is collected through that website or service is governed by the third party’s own terms and privacy policy. We encourage you to review those policies before providing personal information. Certain service providers used to operate the Site—including Stripe, MailerLite, Google, Kinsta, and WooCommerce—may process information in accordance with their own privacy policies and contractual obligations while providing services to VialReport.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

VialReport may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in its services, technology, information practices, legal requirements, or business operations. When we update this Privacy Policy, we will post the revised version on the Site and update the “Effective Date” shown at the beginning of the policy. If a change is material, we may also provide notice through the Site, a subscriber account, email, or another appropriate method. Where applicable law requires consent to a material change in how personal information is collected, used, or disclosed, VialReport will obtain that consent before applying the change. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to remain informed about VialReport’s privacy practices.
